2024 Spring Commencement Ceremony

Commencement Speaker: Angelia Foster-Regional President – Marshfield Medical Center

Angelia serves as the Regional President for Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam and has been in the role since March 2020.  Of note, upon Angelia’s arrival to Beaver Dam, COVID 19 presented and her team needed to move into Incident Command, within her first 10 days, to manage the complexities and needs of the healthcare community.  During the fall of 2020, Dodge County was on the NYT Top 10 for positivity cases for COVID for 9 weeks.  During this difficult season, Angelia’s team remained calm to the chaos and served their patients, residents and children.  Mrs. Foster was requested countless times to speak to national, regional and local media sources including the Wall Street Journal about the challenges her community was facing and how her team was responding to those needs.  She also participated in weekly radio addresses to help her community understand and manage the COVID impact.

Angelia has more than fifteen years of health care leadership experience, including her past role as executive vice president/chief administrative officer at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio.  She began her health care career at Memorial Health System in Springfield, Illinois, where she served as the affiliate vice president of Human Resources and Support Services.  Prior to serving in healthcare, Mrs. Foster has served as an organizational development consultant for over 20 years, to a variety of human and healthcare entities.

Angelia received her master’s in management and organizational behavior from Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. and bachelor’s in political science and communications from Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio.  She resides in Horicon, Wisconsin with her husband David.  They are the proud parents of 5 children and 3 grandchildren.

Alumni Speaker: Alex Prunty – Class of 2013

For the past three decades, the Prunty brothers—Daniel, David, Dennis, and Dale—have been synonymous with asphalt short track racing in Wisconsin. Their dominance on the speedways across the state, particularly at Slinger Speedway in Slinger, Wisconsin, has been unparalleled. Since 1991, the Prunty family has clinched an impressive 15 championships at Slinger Speedway, showcasing their enduring legacy in the sport.

Leading the charge into the next generation of the Prunty racing dynasty is Alex Prunty. Alongside his father Dan, uncle David, brother Zach, and Joe, Alex has emerged as a formidable force in the Wisconsin super late model scene. His crowning achievement came in 2016 when he clinched the Kulwicki Driver Development Program (KDDP) Championship, propelling him and his team into the national spotlight for their outstanding performance both on and off the track.

At the age of 31, Alex Prunty, a native of Kewaskum, Wisconsin, boasts an impressive racing resume, with six championship titles and over 50 feature wins under his belt. Mentored by his racing legends of uncles, David, Dennis, and Dale Prunty, Alex has honed his skills on Wisconsin’s demanding short tracks. In 2013, he graduated from Moraine Park Technical College with a degree in Engine Research & Development, and currently applies his expertise as an Engineering Technician at Briggs & Stratton, working in the Engine & Products Innovation lab.

In December 2021, Alex tied the knot with his beloved wife Cierrah, a graduate of the MPTC nursing program. Together, they welcomed the arrival of their first daughter, Ruby, in March 2023.

Student Speaker: Reegan Groenewold – MPTC 2024 Student of the Year

I am the proud daughter to two Moraine Park alumni and a sister to another. I was raised in Horicon, Wisconsin; it was there I attended kindergarten through high school.

I am part of the Beaver Dam Nursing program and graduating class of 2024. I am beyond excited to pursue my passion for nursing and caring for others on a Labor and Delivery unit following graduation! Labor and delivery allows a nurse to be involved with patients during one of the most significant moments of their lives, and I find that aspect to be so rewarding!

Empire Photography has been photographing our commencement ceremonies for many years. Each graduate is photographed as they receive their diploma, and a solo portrait is also taken after they exit the stage. Proofs will be sent to graduates and their families approximately 48 hours after the ceremony.
