Whether you have always had an interest in agriculture or want to gain employment in an ever-changing industry, Moraine Park’s Agriculture Technician program prepares students for a variety of agribusiness career pathways. This one-year program covers a wide-range of topics through agriculture classes taught by some of the most experienced professionals in the industry.
This diploma covers the first year of coursework within the Agribusiness Science and Technology Associate degree. This means that Agriculture Technician graduates can build on their education and earn an associate degree with one more year of college.
The Agriculture Technician program is offered at both the Lakeshore Technical College (LTC) and Moraine Park campus via in-person classes at LTC and live interactive television classes at MPTC. What You’ll Learn
Students enrolled in the Agriculture Technician program will learn the basics of industry-specific financial operations, goal-setting and human relations through hands-on agriculture classes. Taught by instructors with years of agriculture industry experience, classes will also educate students on crops, soil management and livestock fundamentals.
