IT – Cybersecurity Program Information

Important Information to Know

IT Cybersecurity courses are typically 8 weeks long and have a specific sequence each semester.  It is important to work with your advisor when scheduling classes, especially if you are attending part-time. One mistake could delay your graduation by a full year.

Classes can all be completed online but there are often West Bend or Fond du Lac options as well.

There are also required general education courses (i.e. English, Psychology, and Technical Reporting) that are available in 8 or 16 week offerings.  These classes have more flexibility in duration, scheduling, and location.

Something to consider: Moraine Park offers a triple degree in IT Cybersecurity, IT Tech Support and IT Network Specialist.  Upon completion of this, you will have earned three associate degrees in three years!  As a general rule, those interested in adding the other programs should do so when they meet their advisor.  It’s possible to add it once you’ve started classes but can create some challenges.

Details when adding the triple degree:

  • It will require 9 additional classes.
  • For a full-time student, it typically takes one extra year (3 years) to complete.  However, taking summer classes would allow you to progress more quickly.
  • You will follow the triple degree academic planner.
