Moraine Park strives to provide fair access to programs with limited space. To better serve our community, we’re transitioning several programs to a waitlist system with three stages.
After completing the admissions process, students are accepted as a Pre-Core program student and added to the waitlist. The date of admission serves as the student’s waitlist date.
Students progress through the waitlist in three stages:
Pre-Core: Students begin by taking general education courses and work on meeting the academic preparedness criteria.
Core Ready: Once students have met the academic preparedness criteria, they are marked as “core ready” on the waiting list report. Based on their waiting list date and residency status, core ready students have priority over other admitted students in the following terms.
Core Active: As spots become available, core-ready students on the waitlist are notified via their student email. Once they accept the offer, they will work with their advisor on next steps, including enrolling in core program classes.
Please carefully consider the timing of your program start because the coursework can be demanding. Work with an advisor to determine the best time to begin the program. Planning ahead is your key to success.
Academic Preparedness criteria vary by program. Please review your program’s criteria after being provisionally admitted and placed on the waitlist as a pre-core student.
Please contact your advisor with any questions. If you need help applying to a program, please contact one of our friendly recruiters.
