Statements of Risks
It is understood by the undersigned authorized representative (hereinafter “the Company”) that by agreeing to take part in the Moraine Park Technical College District service learning opportunity (hereinafter “Program”), the Company is retaining the services of unpaid student participants who will be supervised by a faculty employed by Moraine Park Technical College District. The Company understands that if allowing the student participants to perform work on the company’s worksite, the Company is helping develop meaningful involvement with the local community, helping to prepare students as future leaders, developing short and long term solutions to pressing community needs and creating ways of expanding current services and campaigns, and accepts said benefits as full consideration for taking part in the Program.
The Company further agrees and understands that no warranty, either express or implied, is given by Moraine Park Technical College District concerning the work performed by the faculty, or performed under their supervision by student participants while participating in the Program. What is more, the Company, fully understands that no work performed by the faculty or performed under their supervision during their participating in the Program is guaranteed to conform to statute, municipal code, administrative code or any other law governing the manner in which the work is to be performed by the student participants or by the faculty.
Waiver
In consideration of participating in the Program, you hereby release the Moraine Park Technical College District and its directors, officers, employees, agents, and insurers from all claims, losses, damages, demands, rights or causes of action of any kind arising out of, or incident to the risks identified in the above Statement of Risks. This waiver shall not apply to the extent of the Moraine Park Technical College District’s intentional or reckless conduct. By signing below, you hereby waive your right to bargain over the terms of this document.
