WB: Denim Day – What Were You Wearing exhibit

April 28 - May 2

April is observed as Sexual Assault Awareness month. Sexual assault can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, etc. Denim Day (April 30) is the longest-running sexual violence prevention and education campaign in history.

Friends Inc, League of Women Voters, and West Bend Student Senate will be displaying a “What Were You Wearing” exhibit to show support for sexual assault survivors that features clothing pieces donated by survivors; end stigmas associated with sexual assault and sexual assault victims; and share resources for survivors.

On Wednesday, April 30, students and staff can show their support for survivors by decorating jeans with positive messages and fabric paints, adhesives, etc. You can also show your support by wearing denim on this day.

Display will feature in the Library Commons from April 28 through May 2.
