HVAC Program Information
Important Information to Know
HVAC Installation students enter a “cohort” or group that starts in the fall semester at the West Bend campus. Students who wish to start in the spring semester are able to take general education courses.
While students are encouraged to attend full-time, a part-time track is also available. The full-time schedule typically runs core courses Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Field Day
In addition to a program meeting, you will need to attend a mandatory field day in May that typically lasts 3 hours from approximately 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
During this time you’ll meet the HVAC faculty and your new peers as well as register for your fall classes. The faculty will outline program expectations and you’ll learn more about both the program and job opportunities in the field. In addition, we will tour the lab/shop, provide the list of required tools, and share details about College resources.
Watch your mail and email for an official invite and plan to sign up.
Tools/Uniforms
Tools & supplies are required for this program.
The minimum start-up cost for a student is approximately $400. This covers the tools and basic safety gear and can increase depending on the brands and styles chosen. These are your personal possessions that you keep.
The full tool list as well as needed safety equipment, such as a hard hat, and dress code are provided at the Field Day.
