The primary mission of the Counseling Services at Moraine Park is to enhance the emotional and psychological well-being, development, and overall education experience for students in a caring and compassionate environment.

DISABILITY RESOURCES

A wide variety of services are available at all three MPTC campus locations to assist students with disabilities or special circumstances. Services are available for students who are deaf/hard of hearing; blind/visually impaired; have learning disabilities; have physical, language, speech or other health impairments.  Documentation is required to receive services.

Are you a first generation college student?  Are you low income and/or have a documented disability?  If so, the EDGE Trio Student Support Services program is designed for you.  The EDGE program provides students like you with assistance in these areas:

  • Academic Advising
  • Cultural Events
  • Financial Aid & Scholarship Resources
  • Goal Planning
  • Study Groups
  • Tutoring Services
  • Computer Skills
  • Transferring – visiting other colleges

TUTORING

You don’t have to be struggling in your classes to take advantage of the tutoring services that we provide, both face-to-face and online.  Tutoring can also be used to help you maintain good grades.

If you are interested in using an online, on-demand (24/7) tutor, services are available through our online provider, NetTutor.  You can access NetTutor through the Online Student Toolkit or the course menu in Canvas.

Moraine Park is committed to and proud of our veteran and military students.  We thank you for your service and for allowing us to be your school of choice.

As a student, you are offered other services to make your transition to Moraine Park an easy one.  You can:

  • Receive assistance with understanding veteran benefits and how they are used to pay for your tuition and other expenses.
  • Register one day early with priority registration.
  • Join the Student Veteran’s Association to connect with other veterans at Moraine Park.
