Nursing Assistant Program Information
Now That You Have Applied
Before you are eligible to register for class the background check must be approved. Agencies that provide the clinical experience do the review and have the right to either accept or deny students based upon background check findings. Clinical agency decisions are final.
Acceptance to the Nursing Assistant program doesn’t guarantee a seat in a specific course section or clinical location.
Know Before You Enroll in the Class
There is a classroom portion and the off-site clinical training. Courses are offered at all three campuses and some additional locations with clinical sites throughout the district. Students must travel to clinical sites so reliable transportation is important.
Attendance is mandatory to ensure compliance with the State of Wisconsin requirements for Nursing Assistant training. Attendance is required for ALL scheduled classes.
We provide details about the healthcare and safety requirements in your email acceptance message. However, you can review these details now at https://www.morainepark.edu/programs-and-courses/program-information/nursing-assistant-30-543-1/.
