Moraine Park held the College’s first American Welding Society (AWS) event this November—a competition for local high schoolers held at the Fond du Lac Campus Welding Lab. Almost 30 students from Lomira, Marshall and West Bend were in attendance. The top prize was a $1000 scholarship from AWS.
AWS is a nonprofit organization with a global mission: to advance the science, technology, and application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes worldwide, including brazing, soldering and thermal spraying.
