Moraine Park is celebrating the achievements of Brienna Hailey, a 2022 graduate from Horace Mann High School in North Fond du Lac. After high school, Hailey’s plans changed unexpectedly, prompting her to seek an alternative path to reach her goals. With the support of her mother, who works at Moraine Park Technical College (MPTC), she began exploring the various educational and career options the college offered. Hailey was already familiar with MPTC, having taken several dual credit courses during high school. This allowed her to use those credits to jump-start her college education.
Hailey, a self-proclaimed homebody, was drawn to Moraine Park for its convenient location and flexible educational programs. She enrolled in the Business Management program and was able to transfer five dual credit courses she completed in high school toward her associate degree. This allowed her to earn an entire semester’s worth of credits, saving her both time and money.
Moraine Park is known for providing a hands-on, practical education. Hailey took advantage of this by working in the Admissions and Recruitment department through the Financial Aid Federal Work-Study (FWS) program. This opportunity helped her develop essential skills and set the foundation for her future career.
When a part-time position opened within the same department, Hailey applied for the opportunity. Now, as a Recruitment & Admissions Engagement Specialist, Brienna assists prospective students by providing information on programs, supporting admissions events, communicating with applicants, and managing the acceptance process—key responsibilities that align with her studies and career goals.
Hailey plans to graduate from Moraine Park in December 2024 with her associate degree in Business Management. After graduation, she will transition to a full-time position at the College, continuing her commitment to helping students navigate the college admissions process.
Moraine Park is proud to offer many opportunities to high school students, empowering them to reach their educational and career aspirations through innovative programs and personalized support.
