Moraine Park Technical College is celebrating the accomplishment of six Industrial Electrician Apprentices who successfully completed their four-year training. The group was recognized at a program completion ceremony on March 28.
Industrial electrician apprentices spend four years working alongside a sponsored employer-partner to perform work on motors, motor control cabinets, power distribution and lighting within an industrial environment. Through their hands-on and classroom training, they learn to solve complex problems, apply math to daily tasks, and perform maintenance on electrical equipment–all while gaining knowledge of local and state codes and regulations.
The 2025 Industrial Maintenance Apprentice completers are:
Jason Coker – Didion Ethanol, LLC
Myles Maly – John Deere Horicon Works
Wray Niedermann – John Deere Horicon Works
Adam Portman – International Paper
Zachary Reinsbach – Alliance Laundry
Robert Zarczynski – John Deere Horicon Works
Moraine Park Apprenticeships are different from the College’s standard academic programming because apprentices are both students and employees sponsored by local employers, employer associations, or labor groups. This means MPTC apprentices are paid employees during the entirety of their training. As a bonus, many apprentices complete their programs with full-time employment already secured within the MPTC district.
Apprenticeships are excellent opportunities for individuals to explore new career pathways, gain valuable skills and maintain a steady income.
