Moraine Park Foundation Board Welcomes New Members

The Moraine Park Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its Foundation Board: Melanie Bruins, Juliana Dahlinger and Rick Parks. Their addition brings valuable expertise and fresh perspectives to the College’s philanthropic and fundraising efforts, supporting scholarships, student success initiatives and campus improvements.

Bruins currently serves as the Human Resources Director at Mercury Marine, where she supports Global Operations. With over a decade of experience in human resources, Bruins has held various leadership roles, including administrative director of regional operations and chief talent officer at Marshfield Medical Center—Beaver Dam, as well as multiple HR positions at Oshkosh Corporation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Winona State University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Bruins previously served on the Workforce Development Board of South-Central Wisconsin for over eight years. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and three children and is an avid fan of Wisconsin sports teams.

Dahlinger is a business systems analyst at J. F. Ahern, where she transitioned from an accounting role in 2019. She earned her associate’s degree in business from Solano Community College and later completed her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2013. After passing the CPA exams in 2014, she advanced through several roles at Ahern, including staff accountant and accounts receivable manager. Dahlinger was also the accountant for the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation from 2013-19 and is a graduate of the 2023-24 Leadership Fond du Lac County program. She resides in the Town of Byron with her husband and daughter and enjoys family adventures, reading, and volunteering as her daughter’s Girl Scout troop leader.

Parks retired in 2023 after a distinguished 43-year career in the insurance industry, including 18 years at Society Insurance, where he served as CEO for 12 years. He joined Society in 2005 as senior vice president and COO and became president and CEO in 2011, passing the president role to Heather Boyer in 2022. A native of New Washington, Indiana, Parks holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana State University, along with the prestigious Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation from the American Institute for Property Casualty Insurance. He is a proud member of the President’s Circle giving society and a generous donor to the Promise Program scholarship campaign.
