Christine Purser, from Burnett, WI, has carved a career path that began at Moraine Park Technical College’s Beaver Dam Campus. Graduating in 2007 with an accounting degree, Purser was driven by the desire to enter the workforce swiftly. The opportunity to obtain an associate degree in just two years made Moraine Park the perfect choice for her.
During her time at Moraine Park, Purser worked full-time for Ameriprise Financial where she discovered her passion for investments, financial planning and taxes. This experience led her to pursue a career as a financial advisor, with the goal of integrating tax services—a component she found lacking in most advisory practices.
Purser became a financial advisor in 2008. A few years later, she further distinguished herself by becoming an enrolled agent and launching her own tax practice. Her client base grew to span Wisconsin and Florida, and in 2018, she moved to Florida. There, she joined her business partner to establish North South Wealth Management. Both businesses have flourished over the past six years, with the majority of her clients utilizing her services on both fronts.
Today, Purser serves as a private wealth advisor with Ameriprise Financial, overseeing three offices in Florida and one in Illinois. She hopes to open an office in Wisconsin, bringing her journey full circle.
Purser fondly remembers her time at Moraine Park, particularly the influence of her accounting instructors. She recalls Mr. Block’s humor and his ability to make accounting both entertaining and engaging.
