Moraine Park Technical College was named one of the 150 institutions eligible for the Aspen Institute Community College Excellence–a recognition of high achievement and performance among two-year colleges.
“The recognition reemphasizes our commitment to student success for all learners – regardless of their backgrounds,” Bonnie Baerwald, Moraine Park president, said. “Our strategic efforts are managing our resources, including student support to meet learners where they are at and leveraging community and employer partner resources to ensure access and success.”
The institutions selected for this honor stand out among more than 1,000 community colleges nationwide as having high and improving levels of student success, as well as equitable outcomes for Black and Hispanic students and those from lower-income backgrounds.
“Regardless of each learner’s goal – we want everyone to succeed,” Baerwald said. “The recognition by Aspen speaks to the great things we have done to date, but as importantly, sets a framework for us to implement best practices to ensure continued success for everyone.”
