Moraine Park Technical College has named Amanda Fryman, of Oakfield, as the College’s 2024 Distinguished Alumna.
Fryman graduated from Laconia High School in 2003 and immediately accepted a full-time position as a Consumer Loan Officer at a local financial institution where she had been an apprentice. While continuing to work, she enrolled at Moraine Park taking part-time night classes in 2004. She graduated from Moraine Park’s Supervisory Management program in 2011.
Moving up the ranks, Fryman held several positions with the company before joining her current employer, National Exchange Bank & Trust (NEBAT). After earning her associate degree and utilizing the knowledge and skills learned at Moraine Park, Fryman worked her way to her current role as Vice President of Commercial Loan Operations at NEBAT where she leads the direction and development of the Commercial Loan Operations department.
“I could not be more grateful for my time as a student at MPTC,” Fryman said. “The instruction I received and the skills I developed are directly tied to my career growth and success. We are truly blessed to have MPTC in our community, and I am proud to be able to give back to the college through my involvement with the foundation and advisory committees. Being named the Distinguished Alumna is a true full-circle moment for me and I’m so thankful to receive this honor.”
Fryman has been able to give back to the College by serving on the MPTC Foundation Board as well as on the Business Management/Small Business Entrepreneurship & Financial and Insurance Specialist advisory committees. In addition, Amanda served as the Alumni Speaker at Moraine Park’s 2023 Winter Commencement Ceremony.
In her spare time, Fryman enjoys watching her son shoot trap and sporting clays as well as play basketball. She also enjoys golfing with her husband, watching college football and basketball and traveling – especially escaping to the sunshine and sandy beaches of Florida.
Her contributions and passion for technical education made her an obvious choice for Moraine Park’s 2024 Distinguished Alumna. She will accept her award at the May 9 student awards banquet.
