Moraine Park’s Culinary Arts Club held a free cookie decorating event on the Fond du Lac Campus last week, Nov. 27. The students cut out and baked a variety of holiday-themed sugar cookies and provided the frosting and sprinkles.
85 Moraine Park employees and students participated while they enjoyed homemade hot chocolate.
To spread some holiday cheer, the extra cookies and frostings were packaged up into cookie-decorating kits and donated to the Katherine Drexel Homeless Shelter.
“The event went quite well, and the Culinary Club hopes to hold more events like this in future semesters,” Sarah Sugden, Culinary Arts instructional aid at Moraine Park, said.
